My wife and I are very pleased with Carolina Custom Mounts. They were the most expensive (over 2 times Carolina Custom Mounts price) and had the longest lead-time. They didn’t carry some components that I wanted…so I would have to purchase those on my own. Their rep looked in the attic and told me speakers could not be placed in the ceiling. They came the next day to review specs and offered a quote the following day. He also seemed kind of confused about the type of mount I wanted.Īudio Advice, Pineville. I had to call him 3 times over a period of a week just to get a quote. The others quoting was a guy local to Belmont NC area. They scheduled everything just a few days out and completed the job in one day.
It was only Carolina Custom Mounts who could do it all and meet my budget. They did that and it works and looks great.

We wanted the TV above the fireplace, and we wanted to use only the “Down-And-Out” mount by Dynamic Mounting. We have In-The-Wall: 1 center speaker, 2 back speakers and 2 In-The-Ceiling overhead Atmos speakers. He also pre-wired the attic for an OTA (over-the-air antenna) should we decide to get rid of cable. We needed some additional Ethernet cables and jacks installed. He found speakers made by Klipsch, but at a lower cost. So, he offered, for the same price, another brand, with upgraded features. Alan could not get what I wanted in time.

I needed to also upgrade the AV/Receiver. He visited us twice and like a ferret climbed through the crawlspace and into the attic to be sure they could do what I wanted. Alan was the ONLY ‘professional’ who could do what we wanted. I wanted to add Dolby ‘Atmos’ top speakers to a 14’ ceiling. He said, “I’ve seen their work, they do a great job.” usually within minutes! When Alan was here to spec the job, there was also a cable TV tech here. Before choosing Carolina Custom Mounts, if I had any questions or needed additional information, I would text Alan. They aren’t the ‘cheapest,’ but Far from the most expensive. My wife is a big fan of this band and my first thought was, "She has GOT to see this!" OK, my first thought was really "Man I can save some some money on those tickets I just bought and she can just come watch this!" He showed up the same day he came and looked around the house and immediately devised a plan and set an install schedule.
